Increased Subsidy Hours for Families
At Willowgrove Early Learning Centre, we understand that balancing work, family life and early education can be challenging. Recent changes to the Child Care Subsidy (CCS) are designed to better support families by increasing the number of
subsidised hours many families can access.
What has changed?
Eligible families may now receive increased CCS hours, depending on their level of recognised activity (such as work, study, training or volunteering). This means many families can access more subsidised early learning hours each fortnight, reducing out-of-pocket costs and providing greater flexibility.
These changes aim to ensure children can benefit from consistent early learning and care, while supporting parents and carers to participate in work or study.
What this means for your family?
For many families, increased subsidy hours may:
- Reduce weekly childcare fees
- Allow children to attend for additional days or longer hours
- Support smoother routines and continuity of care
- Provide greater flexibility to balance family and work commitments

What you need to do:
To make sure you are receiving the correct subsidy:
- Check and update your details in your Centrelink / myGov account
- Ensure your activity levels are accurate and up to date
- Confirm your child’s enrolment details are current
